Leidy Gomez is the new Queen of Miss Cuba U.S 2024. The Queen’s crowning was held on 22 June 2024 in Miami, FL. During the competition, Leidy represented the title of Miss Cienfuegos and received the awards of Photogenic, Top Model, and Best in Swimsuit. This pageant is under the NBNC Nuestra Belleza Nacional Cuba, is the franchise holder and is responsible for sending the representative of Cuba to several International competitions.
She was born in Havana, Cuba and migrated to the United States along with her family. Fun fact, she comes from a talented family. Her mother is a talented woman, a professional Ballerina. Which motivates her to pursue acting and modeling. She is doing everything with passion for her platform. Also, she is volunteering at local animal shelters and promoting the importance of animal adoption. She also promotes awareness to care for our oceans and sea animals, since she grew up beside the ocean while living in Cuba. She is the first woman in the military to represent the title of Miss Cuba U.S 2024 as she served in the United States Army. Her current occupation is a Pharmaceutical Technician and currently attending Florida International University School of Medicine to become an OB-GYN. Previously, she traveled to do medical missions in the Dominican Republic.
During her reign, Leidy made several appearances at community events such as the Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade, Kids and Family Festival of Miami Dade College, adopt a meal for the Ronald McDonald House of charities, media interviews for Arky Hawk TV, featured runway model for Expo Moda Miami by Henrry Mezza, Hollywood Beach Swim Week, and Bella Bella Dresses Summer Gala, and attended several red carpet events such as Gala Beauty with Purpose benefiting Ability to Help Foundation, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Awareness Kick-off event, and walked the red carpet of Original Living cover party.
Leidy is set to represent Cuba at the 12th edition of the Miss Latinoamerica 2024 International pageant held in Panama City, Panama at the end of this year. Previously, Cuba was the first country to capture the crown of Miss Latinoamerica won by Alina Roberts who also placed top finalist at Nuestra Belleza Latina on Univision.
